Flying & Gliding are core activities within any Air Cadet unit, we aim to get cadets airborne within the first 12 months of joining the unit, followed by further opportunities throughout their time with us.
The ATC has one of the largest gliding organisations in the world operating a number of VGS (Volunteer Gliding Schools) throughout the country.
Powered flying is provided by a fleet of Grob 115 aircraft (called the tutor in RAF service) operated by a number of AEFs (Air Experience Flights) spread throughout the UK.
Other opportunities to fly in RAF or civilian aircraft also are provided on an opportunity basis.
